Gloria G. Kinsey, 89 of Erie, MI, died Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at Vibrant Life Senior Living.  Born July 25, 1926, in Flint, MI, she was the daughter of Frank and Hazel (Wilcox) Nearhood.  She married Harold H. Kinsey on January 9, 1942.  He preceded her in death on September 27, 2000. Gloria was a bus driver for Mason Consolidated Schools in Erie, MI and dearly enjoyed her camaraderie with her fellow bus drivers. She loved to go shopping especially with her sister-in-law and nieces, dining out and having a few cocktails. In her younger married life, she enjoyed sewing dresses for her granddaughters and later making teddy bears for family and friends. Along with her husband, she enjoyed many family camping trips and snowmobiling in northern Michigan.

She is survived by her loving sons, Ron (Bev) and Sam (Sue) Kinsey; grandchildren, Wendy Kinsey, Amy (Bill) Quinn, Nicole (Todd) Abram, Derrick, Ian, Kyle Kinsey and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Frank, brothers, Arnold “Buck”, Jack and Elwood “Skip” Nearhood.

Visitation will be from 3-8 pm, Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 3, 2016. Interment will follow at Bedford Memorial Cemetery.
